The European Landscape Convention ( ELC ) promotes the protection, management and planning of European landscapes and organises European co-operation on landscape issues. It is open for signature by member states of the Council of Europe as well as European non-member states.
The European Landscape Convention aims to encourage the implementation of policies and measures at local, regional, national and international level. The goal is the protection, managing and planning of landscapes throughout Europe and in partner countries.
